Chicago in mid-November is crisp and cool — average highs around 48°F (9°C), lows around 34°F (1°C). A warm coat, scarf, and layers are recommended, especially for walking near the lakefront where wind off Lake Michigan can be brisk. Occasional rain or early snow — pack a small umbrella.
